Perched on a hillside above Lake Creek and backed by public land, this three-bedroom, three-bath home is surrounded by sagebrush, aspens and wide-open Idaho views. It's rustic, quirky, cozy and full of old-school Western character. More importantly, it feels wonderfully tucked away despite being only minutes from Ketchum and Sun Valley.

Getting here is part of the experience. Park below the home and climb the covered outdoor stairway to reach the house, where a large deck opens to sweeping views across the surrounding hills and mountains.

Inside, settle into a snug Western-inspired living room filled with cowboy character, comfortable seating and a Smart TV for streaming. The kitchen has everything you need for meals at home, but this is a house where you'll probably spend just as much time outside.

Step onto the deck with coffee in the morning. Find a chair among the aspens in the afternoon. And when the sun disappears, slip into the private hot tub and look up—away from the lights of downtown, clear nights here can be spectacular.

The home has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Downstairs, the primary features a king bed and en suite bath. A second bedroom has two twin beds, an en suite bathroom and its own small living area with a TV. Upstairs, you'll find a private queen bedroom with another en suite bath and access to an elevated outdoor seating area.

And adventure is never far away. Continue toward the end of Lake Creek Drive and you're less than a mile from access to forest lands, camping, a stocked fishing pond and trails including local-favorite Taylor Canyon. Near the entrance to Lake Creek, the Lake Creek trailhead along the Big Wood River opens up even more opportunities for hiking and biking.

Spend the day exploring.

Then disappear back into your little cowboy cottage in the hills.

WHY WE LOVE IT
Hot tub + Idaho stars. This might be the best seat in the house after dark.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

There are a lot of stairs. This is the biggest consideration before booking. Guest parking is located below the home, and access to the house requires walking up multiple flights of covered exterior stairs. The upper driveway is not available for guest vehicle access. This property may not be appropriate for guests with limited mobility or anyone uncomfortable carrying luggage up stairs.

This is a mature family neighborhood, known for quiet enjoyment of residents or guests alike. This may not be the best property for any prospective guest looking for a party or potential noise producing experience.

This is a NO PET, NON ANIMAL HOME, ZERO TOLERANCE. No pets or visitors' pets are allowed onsite. This property is designated as not pet-friendly. Please see rental agreement or contact management for a complete list of rules and pet policies. The owners have allergies.

We charge a cleaning and linen fee to all guests, as well as a damage protection waiver. Airbnb combines these fees into one "cleaning fee" on their platform.

The cleaning and linen fee covers the cost of cleaning the property after each guest stay, as well as providing fresh linens and towels. The damage protection waiver covers any damage to the property that is not caused by normal wear and tear.
